Yamaha XS 1100 maroon

The Yamaha 1100 has mostly torque and was built for solidity. With its trouble-free cardan shaft and large double disc brakes at the front and single disc at the rear. The Yamaha is made for touring riders. Yamaha also entered the race for more power from now on.
The XS Eleven impressed with its large tank and large headlight. Many touring drivers were impressed by the strong torque and the gear-shifting engine. 50 km/h driving in fifth gear did the four-cylinder without any problems.

Technically, the Yamaha had left its competition a bit behind. This was achieved through the application of new techniques such as lighter combustion chambers.
