Yamaha RD500LC

sold!!

YAMAHA RD500LC 1986

The current owner bought the RD500LC in 2016 and in that winter he started to refurbish it.

He started with the frame, the frame has been powder coated again, the wheels have been painted, new tyres have been fitted, the wheel bearings and chain set have been replaced, the front fork (t-piece) and the crown plate have been cleaned, the front brake discs are new and at the rear the disc has been turned and new rubber brake lines have been fitted.

Then the owner (professional motorbike mechanic) took apart the engine cylinders and spray-painted/coated the block covers. All gaskets and retaining rings have been replaced. No new pistons or crankshafts were used, as they were still in good condition according to the owner.

The exhaust bends have been recoated/sprayed and the original indicators have been put back on.

The fairing parts are original but with some scratches and cracks. The fuel tap has been adjusted a bit, due to a leakage of the fuel tap.

According to the owner he is the 3rd owner of this Yamaha RD500LC.
The RD500LC runs nicely and is ready for a new owner.
